Jennah Ward

Formally trained as a photojournalist, Jennah Ward quickly became more interested in documenting light, line and color than news. After first approaching this direction in photography with light drawing, she realized that throughout the history of art, non-objective photography had been opened up but not fully explored. Ward continues to pursue this direction with her light works.  Through the medium of light and photosensitive material, she uses color to define space and time. Custom made boxes control the shape and intensity of light while variations in her movement determine the length and angle of the mark.
